About the event
Join us for a beautiful afternoon exploring one of Northern Nevada’s most scenic alpine lakes. Our adventure begins with drop-off at Starbucks at 1:00 PM, where kids will hop aboard the PEAKS bus and head up the mountain.
By 1:30 PM, we’ll arrive at Spooner Lake and set out on a guided hike around the lake. This trail is perfect for kids, mostly flat, incredibly scenic, and full of opportunities to explore nature, spot wildlife, and build confidence on the trail. Along the way, we’ll pause for snacks, nature play, and hands-on learning moments that make the outdoors come alive.
We’ll wrap up our hike around 3:30 PM and return to the Starbucks parking lot for pickup at 4:00 PM.
